I was raised in Vacaville. I've lived here since my family moved to Vacaville in 1967. I attended Vacaville public schools, as did my two kids. My wife retired after a 32 year career at VUSD. I am an active member of my church.
I served on the VUSD Board of Education from 2009 to 2014, and as president from December 2012 to December 2013.
I also served on the Measure A Citizens Oversight Committee, as well as on the board of the Vacaville Public Education Foundation.
I served on the board of the Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District. I am the chair of the Solano County Library Advisory Council, and the chair of Visit Vacaville Board of Directors.
My Career in public communications and my skillset in broadcasting, writing, public speaking, and marketing can help to advance the school district's mission through community outreach. I also have experience in organizational development and policymaking and procedure.
If elected, my commitment is to serve my constituents with integrity and perseverance, while always keep in mind what's best for our community's kids.
I have a passion to serve the Vacaville community, I am a strong advocate for public education, and I hope to bring creative ideas and more resources to our district by advocating with state and federal leaders, community partners, and volunteers.
